Joey Snider

ACT Welding Instructor


Joey Snider has joined the Academy of Craft Training as a welding instructor.

Snider has 17 years of experience in the industry. His work experience includes time spent at numerous small and large companies, including L.E. Bell Pipeline, BE&K, KBR, Reintjes Services, INC, Sellers Mechanical and Apel Steel.

Snider’s interest in construction, and specifically welding, began at a very young age when he watched his father weld a gooseneck trailer. He wanted to learn more, and as soon as he was of age, he enrolled at Etowah County Technical Center. Through the school, he was contacted by BE&K School of Industrial Construction, where he was listed as an outstanding welder in levels one, two and three.

Snider competed in the 2001 ABC National Craft Olympics, where he finished in fourth place. He is NCCER certified and is an NCCER Young Professionals Speaker.
